Finance, construct, operate, and maintain two hospitals for Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust
Pinderfields and Pontefract Hospitals PFI project is a 35 year concession to finance, construct, operate, and maintain two hospital facilities for Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, delivering a combined total of 774 beds.
Financial close occurred in June 2007. The project involved capital expenditure of approximately £311 million.
Construction of the new hospital facilities on the two sites was undertaken by subsidiaries of Balfour Beatty plc and final construction completed in 2011.
The facilities became operational in October 2011. Services are being delivered by Cofely, a GDF SUEZ company.
